Guilin prison is located in the "landscape" eastern Guilin, was founded in 1952, the predecessor is horizontal pond farm, ocean prison, horizontal pond auto parts factory, the third prison of Guangxi zhuang autonomous region, in 1995 officially renamed "Guilin prison" and used, at the end of 2014 prison layout adjustment, currently covers an area of about 1946 mu, is a major prison for heavy prisoners.
