The Library of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is located in the Minzu Avenue of Nanning city. It is the largest comprehensive provincial public library in Guangxi. It is the Guangxi branch center of the national cultural information resource sharing project and the Guangxi Ancient Books Protection Center, and is a key protection unit of ancient books in the state and autonomous region.
     The library of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was formerly the Xuanhua Library donated in 1924, which was renamed the Second Library of Guangxi Province in 1931, the Second Library of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in 1958, changed to its current name in 1980, completed and put into use in July 1987, and rated as the national first-class library in May 2018.
     As of December 2018, the library of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has a construction area of 54,000 square meters, with 17 borrowing rooms, about 2000 reading seats, 16 departments and 179 employees; a total collection of 4.21 million volumes and digital resources of nearly 212.4TB.
